Sound as Support: Gentle Sound Healing for Grief, Stress and Emotional Overwhelm
I am honoured & looking forward to facilitating an upcoming free session in collaboration with Gilda’s Club, taking place online on Wednesday, March 4th from 1:00 - 2:00 PM EST. This educational and experiential workshop is part of the Treading Above Water initiative, a series about death and dying.
This session offers an introduction to sound healing as a gentle and supportive practice for people navigating cancer, caregiving, grief, and emotional overwhelm. Participants will learn and experience how sound can support the nervous system, reduce stress, and create moments of rest during times of uncertainty and loss.
The session will include a short educational presentation on how sound affects the body and mind, followed by an experiential sound meditation using tuning forks, chimes, singing bowls, and hand drum. No prior experience is needed. Participants are welcome to engage at their own comfort level, whether through listening, resting, or simply being present.
